Via Vinum Venostis

The Via Vinum VenostisTrail is a year-round invitation to hikers to enjoy an informative and enjoyable tour. For long stretches, the wine trail follows the irrigation channels, which were once constructed as artificial irrigation channels. In places, it leads past farms and vineyards. The people who live and work here are happy to give you an insight into their way of life and work. Hikers and nature lovers are asked to respect the property and customs of this area and to approach nature with care. Along the way, information boards provide information about the landscape & wine and inns & wineries. The approximately 2.5-hour hike can also be walked in sections or in both directions.

Apple trail of Tirolo

The popular apple trail leads across the entire high plateau of Tirolo on the fertile moraine hill between the Passeiertal and Vinschgau valleys. The hike, at the foot of the Texel Group in the southern foothills of the Ötztal Alps, can be hiked in all seasons. A beautiful themed trail that presents the "Apple Orchard South Tyrol" in an interesting way. The themed circular trail starts in the centre of Tirolo, right by the tourist information office. It leads along the Via Aich to the Ruprecht Church, climbs gently to the left up to Via Ling and runs below the former seminary. Now turn right to the "E-Werk" and then left until you reach Auer Castle on a hill. The hike leads to the "Küglerhof" and after crossing Via Haslach you reach the "Wörndlehof". The circular route continues downhill to the left until you reach the Lutzhof farm and on to Doss. Finally, take the Falknerweg trail back to the starting point.

Walking along the Chestnut trail

Family-friendly, educational adventure trail with stations around Merano
In order to underline the importance of these plants and bring chestnuts closer to both locals and tourists, the chestnut adventure trail was created in collaboration between the Merano forestry inspectorate and the municipality of Lana. Over a length of around two kilometres, stations and information boards provide everything worth knowing about the sweet chestnut. The individual boards tell you about the wood of the tree, the diseases that affect the chestnut, the diversity of species, the requirements for good growth and much more. Hikers can expect ten stations, some of which are interactive, all centred around the chestnut tree.
