Family hikes in South Tyrol
If you’re visiting South Tyrol, chances are you enjoy hiking. For hiking with children in South Tyrol, we recommend Naturns’ Mt Sole/Sonnenberg in the Tessa/Texel Group Nature Park, Mt Tramontana/Nörderberg, and the numerous irrigation channel trails, known locally as “Waalwege”. The best family themed trails, where you and your little ones can learn all kinds of fascinating facts while hiking, are the Trail of Legends in Partschins, the Via Vinum Venostis, the Apple Trail in Dorf Tirol, or the International Felt Art Trail in Tisens. We’ll also be happy to reveal our personal secret tips for your family hiking holiday in South Tyrol.
Biking with the whole family
Whether it’s leisurely family cycle rides along the Adige/Etsch river or a challenging mountain bike tour on rocky slopes: Naturns is the place to be for all bike fans. The Adige/Etsch river promenade and the ancient Roman road Via Claudia Augusta are just 300m away. And you don’t even have to bring your own bike, because we have a variety of premium rental bikes for children and adults – including equipment, of course! As TYROL Family Retreat is a member of the Ötzi Bike Academy, you can take part in their daily guided bike tours and rent the best e-bikes with a 10% discount. We’ll be happy to give you details of the programmes and more information about the Ötzi Bike Academy when you arrive.
