Travel insurance

Travel insurance for our Family Hotel Tyrol in South Tyrol - Italy

Avoid unpleasant cancellation fees…

The travel insurance is valid form the moment of booking to the date of arrival.

  • The premium amounts to € 70,00 per week and family; single days € 10,00
  • Franchise 20% calculated on the price of the apartment for the booked period (only lodging, no board)
  • The deposit includes the insurance premium.

IMPORTANT: please indicate in your booking confirmation or in the confirmation form if you want to take out the insurance.

Notice about the travel insurance:

The guest shall inform us as soon as possible if he/she has to cancel the reservation and provides a medical certificate with diagnosis issued on the day of cancellation. Certifications can be issued by doctors or legitimate authorities (death, damages to the property, etc.)

WHAT ARE THE INSURED EVENTS?

The insured events – that is the events preventing the guest to start the holiday or to cut it – are:

  • Serious accident and unexpected severe sickness or illness of the Insured, of his/her partner, children, parents or parents-in-law. Death of one of the persons just indicated or of brothers/sisters, grandparents, grandsons, nephews of the Insured.
  • Unexpected severe problems of the insured guests
  • Serious damages to the property of the insured guests at his/her place of residence after fire, water or natural catastrophes which requires his/her presence

THE INSURANCE DOES NOT APPLY IN THESE CASES:

  • Illness or accident that occurred or manifested in the 6 months before the taking out of the insurance policy
  • if the Insured person could predict or deliberately omitted to indicate the insured event at the moment of the taking out of the insurance

WHAT IS REFUNDED?

In case of cancellation the Insurer refunds following less 20% that is paid by the guest:

  • between 3 and 1 month before arrival 3 booked days
  • between 1 month and arrival all booked days
  • in case of late arrival the days not spent

Do you have to leave early?
If due to the short notice we cannot let the apartment/suite to other guests, we have to invoice the total amount of the booked period. We therefore suggest you take out a further insurance for early departures.
