Ötzi-Bike-Academy

The Ötzi Bike Academy puts on enjoyable, healthy exercise in nature and therefore to the ever-increasing trend of health sport.
Through unique natural and biking experiences fun and joy are conveyed on Sport. Not the lone fight against the stopwatch is in the foreground, but the team-oriented biking in a nice group.

The aim of the new Ötzi Bike Academy is to offer unique bike lessons that are fun for bikers without being too demanding. Guests will enjoy the pleasant and interesting tours and appreciate the expertise of the guides and member companies.

 

Weekly programme

(changes possible)

Monday

  • Riding technique training (basic) for bikers and e-bikers at the Ötzi Bike Academy technique training centre with bike control and bike settings
  • E-MTB Tour for experts (possibility to test and hire an electric bike at the Ötzi Bike Shop)
  • Meet-up and leisurely bike tour around Naturno
  • Open afternoon on the technical training ground with information about the bike programme – Free training at the practice area for everyone (3 to 5 pm) FREE OF CHARGE
  • Bike information at the Ötzi Bike Academy + shop at 5 pm (presentation of the weekly programme of the Ötzi Bike Academy and the general tour possibilities around Naturno)

Tuesday

  • Riding technique training (advanced – intermediate level) at the Ötzi Bike Academy’s technical training ground – motto: introduction to the terrain
  • E-MTB Tour (possibility to test and hire an electric bike at the Ötzi Bike Shop)
  • Guided racing bike tour according to the season with the insider tours of our racing bike guides

Wednesday

  • Mountain bike tours in two different performance classes:
  1. MTB Tour for cross country bikers (no ebiker, 600 – 1.200 metres altitude difference)
  2. E-MTB Tour (possibility to test and hire an electric bike at the Ötzi Bike Shop)
  • Riding technique training (basics) for bikers and e-bikers at the Ötzi Bike Academy’s technique training ground – with bike control and bike settings
  • Taster training at the technical training ground for children and teenagers (9–14 years) from 4:30 to 6 pm (registration required)

Thursday

  • Riding technique training (advanced – intermediate level) especially for e-bikers – motto: Special techniques with the e-mountain bike 
  • Easy trail tour for beginners and families (children from 10 years)
  • Leisurely bike tour according to the season for leisure e-bikers
  • Guided racing bike tour according to the season with the insider tours of our racing bike guides

Friday

  • Mountain bike tours in two different performance classes:
  1. MTB Tour for cross country bikers (no ebiker, 600 – 1.200 metres altitude difference) 
  2. E-MTB Tour (possibility to test and hire an electric bike at the Ötzi Bike Shop)

Saturday

  • E-MTB Tour (possibility to test and hire an electric bike at the Ötzi Bike Shop)

Sunday and all weekdays

  • Individual bike tours or technical trainings with private bike guide possible!

The entire Ötzi Bike Academy programme can also be used with e-bikes!
On the tours, the Ride Fair applies to participants who take part without assistance! Please pay attention to the level of riding technique!

Conditions of Participation Ötzi-Bike.Academy

  • On mountain bike tours, the customer participates at their own risk.
  • All participants in our technology courses, tours and events have to ensure that they have a valid accident insurance that covers the consequences of a possible accident. Similarly, a valid liability insurance, what damage they could cause to third parties, are required.
  • The organizer is entitled to exclude participants due to technical fault of their sports equipment or grossly negligent conduct of the tour.
  • In our tours we move largely on not paved bike paths. It is therefore always drive carefully and assess the difficulty of individual passages with personal responsibility and descend as necessary and slide the wheel.
  • An equipment you need to weather conditions adapted Bike clothing.
  • Helmets are mandatory for all participants.
  • When Freeride and Enduro tours, we advise clipless pedals, unless they are well versed in dealing with it. We recommend knee and elbow pads, backpack with protector
  • Children and adolescents below 16 years may participate only if accompanied by parents in the tours. Adolescents 16-18 years can participate alone by attending an art course and parent's signature on the tour program.
  • No participant may leave the group without prior notification to the accompanying Guides.
  • Possible transfer costs are not included in the registration fee
  • The Ötzi Bike Academy may at any time in bad weather to cancel the event, when it comes to the safety of participants.
  • You hereby also consent that photos and videos can be published by the tours and technique training with their participation on the website and therefore they renounce copyrights.
